d3wey.com

Web Design - The Design Process

Below is a basic 7 step overview of how d3wey.com will set out to design your site. This is, of course, subject to your time scales and requirements and can be as involved or as simple as you'd like it to be.

    contact
  1. Contact, discussion and ideas

This will include talking about your needs, your ideas and an open honest opinion of whether d3wey.com is the right choice for you. We will discuss time scales and costs and, all going well, arrange a meeting.

  2. contact
  3. Meeting (and maybe a cuppa!)

Ideally we will meet at my home-based office where we will further discuss your needs, investigate website names and their availibility. We will look at competitors' sites and discuss how you want your site to look. I f you wish to proceed, you will also be guided through the process of purchasing the site name and a place to store it on the web (a domain). If preferred the meeting can take place anywhere with a suitable internet connection.

  4. contact
  5. Concept Creation & Site Building

Once we have purchased your site name and its domain, concepts will be created rapidly. It may be that we have already agreed on these in our meeting but if not, ideas will be bounced as regularly as you require until a design is agreed. Once agreed building commences.

  6. contact
  7. Proofing and Sign Off

Once complete you will be given the opportunity to proof-read the site and check it before it goes public on the web.

  8. live
  9. Live

Once happy with the site it will be double-checked and put live for the public to find, visit and browse!

  10. contact
  11. Site Visibility and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

Depending on the level of service you have purchased, the site will go through further visibility work including getting it visible on Google Maps. The SEO process will have been fluidly combined into the site's design (making it more likely for people to find you on a Google, Yahoo, Bing etc search) but this will be further tweaked once live.

  12. contact
  13. Content Support

We will have discussed this in more detail in the initial meeting but depending on the service purchased, there will be a level of support to change details or content on your pages.
